 To create a new record:

If you want to add an image or a shape, click Insert in the top menu bar and select what you'd like to add. When you're done adding content, click File in the top menu bar and choose Share…to share your document with others

Google Classroom is a free web-based platform that integrates your Google Apps for Education account with all your Classroom's digital resources. Classroom allows you to create and collect assignments paperlessly, including text, photos, and attachments. Using the Stream, you can also use Classroom to communicate with your students in real time.

To get started with Google Classroom:


  1. Go to classroom.google.com and sign in with your Google Apps for Education account.
  2. Once you're signed in, click on the plus sign in the top right corner to create a new class.
  3. Give your style a name and add a description (optional).
  4. Decide whether you want your category to be public or unlisted.

General classes are visible to anyone with the link, while unregistered types are only visible to people who have the exact address.

Once you've created your class, it's time to start adding content! First, click on the "Classwork" tab on the Stream page to create an assignment, announcement, or question for your students. You can also click on the "People" tab to add students or co-teachers to your class.

If you want more control over what appears in your Stream, you can pin specific items by clicking on the three dots next to each post and selecting "Pin post." You can also filter posts by type (assignment, announcement, question) by clicking on the filter icon in the top right corner of the Stream page.
